WHO WE ARE

Ron Ames started in production as a producer and assistant director where he worked on numerous commercial and episodic television projects.
In 2003, VFX Supervisor, Rob Legato, enlisted Ron to assistant direct and produce the Visual Effects for Martin Scorsese’s, The Aviator.  
Since then, Ron has worked as a VFX producer, Post Production Supervisor, and first assistant director of special units on over 20 productions including, Avatar, The Departed, Star Trek Into Darkness and Beyond, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, to name a few.
Most recently, Ron’s experience as a modern filmmaker, led to him producing all the technical departments from camera capture to exhibition for Amazon Studios’ The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Since then, Ron has started the Modern Film Consortium, a consultancy dedicated to the development and integration of modern filmmaking techniques and cloud-based film production.

Jesse Kobayashi is a Visual Effects Producer with over two decades of experience in the industry.  His credits include Kong: Skull Island, Krampus, Warcraft and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. 
In addition to his work on productions, Jesse served as an Executive Producer at Riot Games Cinematics, the Director of Visual Effects at Legendary Pictures and as a Post Producer at both Warner Bros. and Laser Pacific.
Most recently, he joined Ron in creating the Modern Film Consortium where he is a strong advocate for using new technologies to improve the overall quality and efficiency of the filmmaking process.
